The theater is about 15 minutes from our home so I decided to leave 45 minutes early to be sure that I could find a parking space. I guess there are lots but they all seemed like they were for private businesses. I sure didn't need to get my car towed. The meters are for 2 hours only and sometimes that means leaving the theater to put a couple more quarters in.
Well I had been driving in circles for about 1/2 hour when Gaylynne called to say that they were stuck on the slow moving freeway. She reminded me that her friend parks in the Fred Meyer parking lot. I determined that I would buy something in the store and then just leave my car and walk the 2 blocks to the theater.
As I was crossing the last street before the theater a horn honked. I looked up to see Gaylynne and the kids. She quickly unloaded them and I took them into the theater while she parked the car. Soon she joined us and almost immediately the musical began.
The sets were nicely done and the children were very talented. Emma sat on my lap and Dayton sat on Gaylynne's lap. They both laughed and had a great time.
No cameras are allowed in the theater and I got caught last time so I behaved myself and took a couple of snaps outside before we headed for the parking lot.

What cute kids!!!! I miss them so much! We loved the photos, and I especially loved the picture with Emma in the foreground and Dayton in the background playing (the second from the bottom).
I'm glad Andrew could accommodate your birthday gift plans! ;)
