Emma's Birthday Party 2008

We were headed for DI to drop off some more stuff from the house. After that we needed to stop by the grocery store for salad for the barbecue at the DeCamp's house.

I had promised to bring some batting for a humanitarian project that Liz Stamps had the children working on.

The phone rang. It was Don wondering if we would be coming to Emma's party.

Doh!!! I didn't realize that we were invited and thought it was just for the kids. We dropped off the stuff at the DeCamps house and headed for Washington.

We were led to the Coates' home by these cool signs.

Gaylynne organizes great parties and the kids were kept busy for a solid two hours. Everyone was having a great time.

Sit on the balloon until it pops. Find the paper inside of the balloon that tells you what you pantomime.
Kid that guesses what you are portraying gets to pop a balloon and so on.
They loved it.

Mini powdered sugar donuts were tied with string and hung from a stick.
Without hands they had to capture and eat the donut. This was very funny to watch.
The kids especially had a good time!

You can't really see it in this photo but her face is pretty well powdered!

And the pinata.

The last kid was the biggest and strongest so everyone had a turn whacking the pinata.

They got to decorate their own cupcakes.

Then it was time to open presents.
Right on time, the mothers came to pick up their kids and suddenly the house was quiet. Messy! But Quiet!
It was a very successful party.
