invited to join Don's family in a movie outing.
Though there was still much more to accomplish on the house we decided that it would be fun to go with them.
They treated us to the movie so we treated for the candy and popcorn.
The theater itself was in an old building and the aroma of the popcorn was wonderful.
Unfortunately, it didn't taste as good as it smelled.
That still didn't keep us from eating much more than we should have.
Neal was trying to get my attention to look at the kids but I was already taking his photo.
In the corner of the lobby I saw this great poster of Clark Gable. Vivian Leigh's poster wasn't mounted correctly and so doesn't show very well.
Dayton and his Daddy were having a wonderful time outside the theater.
Dayton explored everything and though it had begun to rain, that didn't keep this little Oregonian from venturing out from under the cover of the building.
He scared me a little when he stepped off of the curb. There was no traffic at all so it wasn't that he was unsafe. Gaylynne quickly grabbed him, I think before his second foot even touched the street.
The girls had been taken to the bathroom by their Grandma Broderick and I'm pretty sure they were or almost were locked in the building.
I was a little surprised that the children were able to focus so well. Melanie seemed to be enjoying the movie as she munched on candy and popcorn.
Emma sat on Grandpa's lap also munching. Courtney stayed with her Dad and Dayton seemed to be going back and forth between Gaylynne and Marilyn.
On the way back to our cars we passed by this great frog.
I wondered if these photographs might not come out because my camera indicated that the batteries were dead. But, yay! We got the pics after all.
Thank you Don and Gaylynne for making our day more fun.
This photo is of Emma and Courtney. Isn't that a great frog?

He called me to pick him up at the shop and didn't mention that he needed a jacket. We left the van at the shop and picked it up after the movie.
