September 1, 2007

This should be fun. Everyone else is doing it. We thought we'd join in. This first one is just a test to see if we are entering information correctly.

Last Wednesday night Brian showed up for a visit. We enjoyed his visit over a "Juanita Taco" dinner. This bike belongs to one of his friends.

He was in Newberg on Saturday and stopped by to see Grandma. Was he ever surprised to find her looking so beaten up from her fall. We visited her in the afternoon too. We decided to give her our birthday gifts today instead of at the party next week.

We had a wonderful trip to the Temple on Thursday evening with the Stake Leadership. It was a disappointing show of Leaders. We anticipated a lot more than the 25 or 30 who participated. Still we had a very nice session. The only members of the Branch who were there were Neal, me, Kathy and Keith, and Fred.

We are working to get Lori's and Matthew's last bits of stuff out of the house and keep the beautiful flowers alive during the heat we have had here for the past week. After two van loads it now looks like this.

We found a nice pair of Matthew's shoes and wondered if they made a mistake leaving them behind.

We think that one more more van load ought to do it. We sure hope that their Real Estate agent will be able to find a buyer soon.

Thanks to Lori for the wonderful information about Bobby Flay's Crab Cakes. We went to Costco and picked up 4 pounds of imitation crab. We paid $7.00 ish for that. Neal said "oops" when he brought home the Italian Bread Crumbs instead of plain, but, oh my goodness, the cakes turned out to be so delicious!

Though we didn't get any work done on the house today we still had a good time. When we got home we found Don and family here printing out tickets for their surprise trip to the circus. I can't wait to hear about that.

Also, Teresa and the kids were here on their way home from the airport. They were pretty excited to get home and hook up the new play station that Stuart earned for all his babysitting while visiting his Aunt in Southern California.

It was nice to see everyone so happy.
